Myrline Wood, 81, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.
She was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Doddridge, Ark., to Artice and Ethel Dunlap Bowlin. She was the retired owner of Wood Flowers and Gifts, a member of the Atlanta Church of Christ and a past member of the Eastern Star and Theos.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wood; a son, Don Wood; daughter, Linda Wood; and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, J. C. Wood and wife Cathy of Bedford and Larry Wood and wife Suzanne of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Marcelle Yates of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Church of Christ with Tom Hooten officiating. Interment follow at Beech Creek Cemetery in Atlanta under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
