Schindler, Adams exchange vows

Chelsea Lyn Schindler and Scott Henry Adams, both of Seattle, Wash., were married Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Hughes Springs, Chelsea’s hometown church.
The bride’s sister-in-law, Pastor Elizabeth Ingram Schindler, officiated.
Parents of the bride are Lyle and Betsy Schindler of Hughes Springs and parents of the groom are Barb and Vince Adams of Naples, Fla. Grandparents of the groom are Hank and Dot Benedict also from Naples.
Brothers and sisters attending the couple, included Greg Adams, Steve Adams, Kim Lloyd, Lauren Milan and Steven Schindler. Nine nieces, nephews and friends served as flower girls and ring bearers.
A reception followed in Jefferson for guests from 17 states and three countries. Dinner, dancing, carriage rides and Chinese lantern launching were followed by a send-off with paper airplanes made from flight maps. Afterwards, the couple was whisked away in a restored 1963 Buick Riviera.
The bride graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in aviation, where she earned the Flight Instructor Certificate, among other pilot licenses. She later earned a Master’s Degree in aviation management and safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and currently serves as a senior safety analyst for Alaska Airlines.
The groom graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in finance and later earned a Master’s Degree in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA from the University of Florida. He is employed as regional director in Network Fleet Planning, supporting the Commercial Airplane Division at The Boeing Company.
The couple will reside in Seattle, Wash., following a honeymoon in Thailand.
