James Bowie Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, in its regular meeting on Nov 16, had a very informative program presented by Melda Payne. She spoke on the French Legation located in Austin. In addition, she showed “A Glorious Opportunity, the French Legation in the Republic of Texas,” a DVD produced by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
