AUDREY MATLOCK

Audrey Matlock, 81, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, in a Texarkana hospital.

She was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Shreveport, La., to Milton and Wilma Atkins. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Victory Sunday School Class. She had a passion for painting and was a member of the Atlanta Art League and the Springhill Art Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Wilma Atkins and a sister, Mary Young.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Roger Matlock of Atlanta; one son, Wayne Matlock and wife Linda of Lafayette, La.; a daughter, Lisa Krueger and husband, David of Bossier City, La.; four grandchildren, Justin Bussey and fiancé Amanda Isgate, Landon Bussey and fiancé Abbie Sorensen, Mallory Semanco and husband Evan and Brian Matlock and wife Kelly Rose; one great-grandson, James Roger Matlock; two nieces, Beverly Baker and husband Roy of Gueydon, La., and Donna Urban and husband Rick of Opelousas, La.; brother-in-law, Howard Young of Opelousas, La.; sister-in-law, Linda Ann Matlock of Plain Dealing, La., and a number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Hanner Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Guy Williams officiating. Interment was at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at Springhill Cemetery in Springhill, La., with Rev. Guy Williams and Rev. Evan Semanco officiating under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
