BISD opts to build new weight room

The Bloomburg Independent School District Board of Trustees approved funding for a new weight room facility and equipment storage for its athletic programs during their last board meeting Oct. 21.
The trustees took action to appropriate $40,000 to build a 30 x 60 foot weight room. A concrete pad already exists for the equipment storage facility. Funding for the 20 x 50 foot storage facility for equipment is included in the $40,000 appropriated.
