Community gathers for Texas medallion dedication ceremony

Pleasant Hill School Restoration Project hosted a Texas medallion dedication program on Oct. 20, with more than 40 people gather at the Pleasant Hill Center.
Darrell Heath served as the program coordinator and emcee for the afternoon. He invited Stephanie Terry to lead the group in singing both the “National Anthem” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” which is referred to as the Black National Anthem.
