‘4-Peat’: Mission Possible

QC Band of Champions heads to state competition

The Queen City High School band is headed to state after a superb showing at the Area UIL competition. 
The local marching band will march across the field at the Alamo Dome November 4 and 5 in San Antonio. 
The Bulldogs qualified at the UIL Area meet, which was held Saturday, Oct. 26 at Stephen F. Austin University (SFA) in Nacodoches. 
The Queen City band won first in prelims and ended the competition tied for third in finals with New Diana.  
Bands from White Oak and Redwater are also advancing to state. 
Preceeding Area, the band performed Wednesday, Oct. 23 for UIL Regionals and earned straight ones there. 
At state competition in San Antonio, the band is set to perform their preliminary performance at 1:03 p.m.
