DRT members ‘visit’ Texas State Cemetery

Members of James Bowie Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, took a virtual tour of the Texas State Cemetery at their Sept. 21 meeting. Chapter Treasurer Susan McClain was the guide during the 30-minute video, which can be viewed on the Texas State Cemetery website.
The cemetery, located on a 21-acre plot of donated land just east of the Capitol in Austin, reflects the diverse cultural heritage of Texas. The Texas State Cemetery Commission has established guidelines for burial there.
