Ironing out history

Louella Vernon showcased a portion of her personal collection of antique irons with members and guests at the Cass County Genealogical Society meeting held Oct. 8 at the Queen City United Methodist Church. She also shared the past 100 years’ history of ironing clothes. Her personal collection includes coal, kerosene and electric irons.
