Smooth sailing so far for Childress

Assistant principal Susan Childress is taking her first year at Morris Upchurch Middle School in stride. So far, Chidress says that school year has started off great.
“All the employees and parents have been very welcoming and supportive,” she told the Citizens-Journal. “Enrollment at the middle school is about 307 students. The kids have been great and most are glad and excited to be back in school.
