Carter announces upcoming retirement

Jack Carter, Justice of the Sixth Court of Appeals of Texas located in Texarkana, announced today that he will retire from the judiciary at the end of his current term on December 31, 2014. Justice Carter has served as a judge since 1981 when he was appointed as District Judge of the Fifth Judicial District Court of Texas serving Bowie and Cass Counties.
