RUBY IRENE TEMPLETON

June 14, 1917 - July 30, 2013

Ruby Irene Templeton, 96 of Bright Star, Ark., died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, in Texarkana.

She was born June 14, 1917, in Bright Star, Ark., and was a member of Olive Branch Methodist Church. She enjoyed visiting with friends and reminding everyone that she was the boss.

Her parents; Bill and Velma Adcock; her husband, Howard Templeton; her brothers, Knowles Adcock and Leo Adcock; her sisters, Naomi Harrist and Willie Lois Thomas; and a son-in-law, Dickie Clements, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brothers, Hardy Adcock and wife Irene of Doddridge, Ark., and Dale Adcock and wife Gail of Houston; sons, Bill Templeton and wife Dirindia of Bright Star, Ark., and Jerry Templeton and wife Judy of Hooks; daughter, Carolyn Clements of Denton; grandsons, Billy Templeton and wife Sandy of Bright Star, Ark., Jim Templeton and wife Tammy of Bright Star, Ark., Don Clements and wife Nancy of Lake Charles, La., Kirk Clements of Denton, and Wayne Templeton and wife Lissa of Redwater; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters and scores of step great-grandchildren, and step great-great-grandchildren, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 6  to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 2, at Olive Branch Methodist Church with Bro. Walter Burnett and Bro. Gary O’Day officiating. Interment followed at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
