Linden-Kildare CISD held a Teacher and Employee Appreciation Breakfast last week at which service awards were handed out. There were around 125 teachers and employees that attended.
L-K Interim Superintendent Roger Hailey spoke to the group about how much the teachers and employees mean to the district.
“I want to thank all the employees for their knowledge, skills and experience and above all your attitude, the character traits that you are trying to teach the children that attend our district,” said Hailey. “We have three main ingredients you need to have an outstanding school district -- number one, good kids number two, good employees and a great school board.”
Linden-Kildare Curriculum Director Mary Dowd spoke to the group after the service awards were presented and thanked teachers and employees.
“We appreciate the impact you have on our children -- you do that every day, day in and day out, and you impact them in such a positive way, children that come from all types of circumstances and we want you to know how important you are to us,” said Dowd.
Recipients of the Five Years of Service Award were Ann Johnson, Keri Winters, Jackie Barton, Margaret Eaves and Carolyn Oliver.
Recipients of the 10 Years of Service Award were Tonya Wenzel, Elizabeth Harris, Tiffany Hankins, Nathan Trammell, Lisa Trammell, Lindsi Boles, Felicia Love and Dranea Berry.
