Cass County man dies in single-vehicle crash

A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a Cass County man earlier this week, according to Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reports.
David Shannon Young, 43, of Bivins was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash, according to DPS.
DPS troopers responded to the scene of the accident on FM 1841, approximately six miles east of Bivins, at 7:06 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18. Preliminary information indicated the Ford Escort driven by Young, while headed northeast on FM 1841, left the roadway and struck a culvert before rolling.
