Roger Hailey has been named interim superintendent of Linden-Kildare CISD following the recent announcement of Trevor Rogers’ decision to depart for a post in Lindsay ISD.
The first day for Hailey at L-K CISD will be Tuesday, April 11.
Hailey has been superintendent at four other school districts in Texas: Crane, Henderson, Atlanta and Liberty Eylau. He has a total of 46 years of experience in the education sector.
“I have always enjoyed the school business and what the schools are trying to accomplish for young people,” said Hailey. “I like the mission of public schools and I like what teachers and auxiliary personnel try to teach and prepare young people, to go out and be self-productive citizens that contribute to their cities and state and nation.”
When asked if he was looking forward to working at L-K CISD Hailey responded, “Yes I am -- I certainly am.
“I don’t know of a better occupation or calling to try to prepare the next generation to make it better for everybody.”
