Atlanta triple jump state medalist TeShuna Sheppard is in full swing of trying to get back to the state finals for another medal, preferably gold.
The fact that she has earned two state medals in three years won her an invitation to compete in the 53rd Annual Jesuit-Sheaner Relays in Dallas beginning March 24 and continuing through March 25.
Herb Sheaner cordially invited Sheppard to attend by contacting Atlanta girls’ head track coach Jarrick Farmer.
The letter read as follows: Coach Farmer, I invite your outstanding and state-ranked triple jumper TeShuna Sheppard from Atlanta to enter the 2017 Jesuit-Sheaner Relays and compete in the triple jump, Saturday, March 25, at the 53rd Jesuit-Sheaner Relays.
This is a very competitive meet.
Your state ranked triple jumper should compete very well.
Qualifying limits are shown below. Any other qualifier from your team is invited to the meet.
We are looking forward to a great competitive 2017 Jesuit-Sheaner Relays meet. You bring the competition.
Competition will feature eight 2016 All-American athletes and relay teams; 21 UIL State Meet Champions; 85 UIL State Medalists who placed first second or third; 16 of the 17 meet events have a UIL State Meet champion or medalist entered and 96 school teams are competing in the 2017 Jesuit-Sheaner Relays.
