Atlanta Iron competes at regional meet

Atlanta Iron turned in an amazing performance at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association Region 3, Division 2 meet in Malakoff, March 9.  
Nick Cooper placed third in the 198-pound weight class with a 1,400-pound total which qualified him for the state meet in Abilene, March 25. This is the second year in a row Cooper has qualified for the state meet.
Clayton Mosley placed sixth in the 165 class with a total of 1,135 pounds; Zee Barfoot placed ninth in the 198 class with a total of 1,230 pounds; Dalton Johnson placed 10th in the 132-pound weight class with a total of 830 and Dustin Williams placed 12th in the Super Heavy Weight Division with a total of 1,140 pounds. All totals were career highs for the lifters.  
“This crew has exceeded our expectations all year long and we are really proud of them,” Head Coach Craig Fant said. “It has been a fun season with our powerlifting guys.”
