Atlanta Head Track Coach Nick Miller had this to say after completion of the L-E meet.
“It’s a great accomplishment for the boys to not only win the varsity division, but the junior varsity division as well. The night before the seventh, eighth and ninth grade won their divisions. That is a statement of how competitive our program is at every level,” Miller said. “Competitive is the word that sums up the track meet we had at L-E. Our performances were great for this time of the year and some are the best we have had in years. I’m proud to coach such a tough group of athletes that pride themselves on being able to push themselves to the limit, handle pain and adversity and sacrifice everything for their team. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds.”
The Rabbit track program competed in the Longview meet on March 10 and will host the AMS track meet on Thursday, March 16 and the Lions Club/Gordon Pynes/Runnin’ Rabbs Relay on Saturday, March 18.
