Pet adoption event planned for March 11

The Atlanta Animal League (AAL) is planning a pet adoption event and bake sale fundraiser this weekend. Organizers say the event features baked goods and “some really great dogs.”
The adoption event will take place Saturday, March 11 at Newkirk Feed Store in Atlanta, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
AAL’s Jamie Sharry said of the event, “We’ll have every puppy that we have in the league – we’re going to have a few kittens there also if we don’t get them adopted beforehand. Hopefully we get all the adult dogs there. “We need homes – we need permanent homes for them. They are adorably cute, they are sweet and very well-mannered. We’re just asking everybody to come out and show their support.”
A pet adoption fee that covers needed vet care, including spaying and neutering services, is required. For more information, contact the AAL at animalleagueatlanta@gmail.com.
Even those who can’t adopt can help the AAL. The nonprofit group will be accepting donations that day as well.
