Lady Rabbs top Pitt, PG in district play

Atlanta opened its second round of district play with a, 67-52, win over Pittsburg on Jan. 24.
The Lady Rabbs ended the first quarter with a, 21-11, lead and enjoyed a, 34-27, halftime advantage. 
A 33 to 25 run in the second half sealed the Lady Rabbs’ 15-point big win.
Keyona Easter scored a team-high 24 points with seven assists and four steals, Sheveonia Smith added 17 points with four steals, Teshuna Sheppard accounted for a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, Kaydee Kelly had three points, Kinsey Kelly added five points and five boards and Brittany Collins posted four points.
On Jan. 27, the Lady Rabbs picked up another big win with a, 70-60, victory over Pleasant Grove. 
Coming into the match PG was undefeated in district.
Atlanta trailed, 17-16, after one quarter of play and was down only, 32-31, at the break after the Lady Rabbs scored bucket-for-bucket with the Lady Hawks  in the second frame.
A 12-9 run in the third and a big 26-19 run in the fourth quarter topped off a big win for the Lady Rabbits.
Smith had a team-high 23 points, Easter added 14 points and 10 assists, Sheppard posted 13 points and nine boards, Kaydee Kelly had 13 points with four treys and both Kinsey Kelly and Collins had two points each.
