By Adam Pettit

The Queen City Bulldogs played their final road game of the season last week against the Pewitt Brahmas.
The Bulldogs played tough but were unable to overcome turnovers in the first half that helped Pewitt win the game 47-16.
Queen City’s defense played well on the first drive and forced a turnover on downs near the Bulldogs’ 38 yard line.  This would be the only defensive stop in the first half for QC.
The Brahmas took over on offense again after a Bulldogs’ fumble near midfield and immediately got to work.
Pewitt moved the ball quickly, taking advantage of big gains, and eventually scored from 19 yards out midway through the first quarter.
The PAT was successful and the Brahmas led 7-0.
William Harris received the next kickoff for QC and returned the ball to the Bulldogs 34 yard line.  Dwight Glover took the handoff on the first play from scrimmage and darted 39 yards into Pewitt territory.
After a run by David Price and James Williams, the Bulldogs were in field goal territory.  Josue Rea came on to attempt a 36 yard field goal that sailed through the uprights.  QC was on the board and trailed 7-3 with 4:13 left in the first quarter.
The Brahmas would go on to score five more touchdowns in the first half to bring the score to 40-3 at halftime.
The Bulldogs would slow the Brahmas down in the third quarter, allowing only one touchdown, but QC was unable to put any points on the board.
In the fourth quarter freshman quarterback Dylan Scott hit Harris for a two yard touchdown.
The PAT by Rea was good and the Bulldogs trailed 47-10 early in the final quarter.
Williams scored the final touchdown for the Bulldogs on a a seven yard touchdown run.
The PAT was unsuccessful and the game ended with the final score of Queen City 16 and Pewitt 47.
The Bulldogs are back in action this Friday as they take on the Dekalb Bears on Senior Night at 7:30 p.m.
