In front of the capacity Homecoming crowd, the Linden-Kildare Tigers got back to their winning ways as they bashed the James-Bowie Pirates 47-0 last Friday.
“This is the most complete game we have played all year,” Athletic Director - Head Football Coach Derek Simmons said.  “Now we have to make sure that we continue this into the last two district games to reach our ultimate goal of making the playoffs.”
The Tiger defense stepped-up this week and allowed the Pirates only 152 total yards, 123 rushing and 29 through the air.
Leading the Tigers in tackles: Marcus Jones with 11 including five for a loss, Ty Patterson with 10, LaDavian Johnson with nine and Traccer Henry with seven.
Also on defense, Ja’Kevian Rose would snatch a tipped pass for a Tiger INT, and both L. Johnson and Marquise Jones recorded fumble recoveries.
The Tiger offense clicked on all cylinders amassing 295 yards on the ground and another 151 through the air.
Six Tigers would finish the night with at least three carries and five Tigers would have at least one reception as the offense rolled up a total of 446 yards.
Marcus Jones led L-K with 10 carries for a total of 136 yards and three touchdowns, Micah Harrison had 11 carries for 50 yards and Marty Johnson would keep the ball 11 times for a total of 48 yards.
Rose topped the Tigers in receptions with two for 69 total yards including his seventh TD.

With the win, the Tigers climb back to .500 on the season, and picked up their first district victory.
They look to continue their push for the playoffs as they travel to Wolfe City this Friday night to take on the 2-1 Wolves.
The game is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
