From runways to awards shows, 10-year-old Loryn Lambert of Atlanta has been blazing her way across the fashion world.
Since we last caught up with Loryn last year, she has not slowed down one bit. She found her way to the hallowed grounds of New York Fashion Week, which is one of the world’s largest fashion shows where designers from all over the world get to display their best creations.
At New York Fashion Week, Loryn walked the runway in lavish outfits from Janay Deann Designs, which have been worn by the likes of the Tiara Twins and Eden Wood from Toddlers and Tiaras.
Loryn was accompanied by local photographer Marlana Yates, who has been taking pictures of Loryn for years.
Loryn will return to New York Fashion Week in February of next year and model outfits designed by Sherry E. Combs of TWT Design Wear.
The outfits worn will be auctioned off, and the money will be donated to the charity of Loryn’s choice.
“I want to donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital because of what they do for other kids,” Loryn said.
Besides NYFW, Loryn has also competed at the SOCIETY Fashion Show, where she won $3,000 and a trip to Machu Pichu for winning Top Runway Model, courtesy of POSH Magazine, beating out contestants from all the other age groups.
Even though she has had much success in the world of fashion and went to Emmy’s, where she met celebrities like Selena Gomez, Loryn has not let that go to her head, and her mother, Melissa Lambert, makes sure she remains humble.
“If there is even a hint of a diva attitude,” Melissa said, “I would put a stop to all of this immediately.”
Loryn takes it in stride and is much like other kids her age. She likes to read Goosebumps, eat pizza, and go camping. She also likes to play with her older brother, Chase, and her dog, Solomon.
Loryn and Marlana Yates also often do photo shoots with other local children.
“Since she has become quite popular in the fashion world,” said Melissa Lambert, “we believe having pictures published with local kids could help them boost their confidence like it did for Loryn.”
Loryn attends Champions Christian Academy, where she continues to make the A-Honor Roll.
“I would like to thank my teacher, Mrs. Stacie Mooney, and everyone else at Champions Christian Academy for being so helpful,” said Loryn.
