Local teams take part in Atlanta XC Invitational

All Cass County schools, with the exception of Avinger, plus some other schools such as Pleasant Grove and Hooks were present at the Atlanta Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 8.

Varsity Boys
McLeod and Atlanta finished 1-2 in the varsity boys’ race.
The top three for the Longhorns were: Zach Mauldin (third overall), Ryan Anderson (fifth overall) and Zach Prince (ninth overall).
The top three for the Rabbs were: Josiaha Henderson (fourth overall), Dagan Ward (eighth overall) and Cameron Kendrick (13th overall).
Queen City’s top three finishers were: Mo McCoy, Logan Price and Ethan Everett.

Varsity Girls
McLeod finished first in the varsity girls’ race, L-K placed fifth, Atlanta sixth and Bloomburg seventh.
The top three racers for McLeod were: Caitlin Hall (third overall), Makayla Fielder (fourth overall) and Faith Crocker (eighth overall).
The top three for L-K were: Peyton Turner (ninth overall), Alayna Mason (15th overall) and Lauren Spaniol (21st overall).
The top three for Atlanta were: Hannah Wicks (seventh overall), Daniella Arredondo (27th overall) and India Cooper (30th overall).
The top three for Bloomburg were: Trinity Mouser (11th overall), Abby Houck (31st overall) and Karlee Cressionnie (33rd overall).

MS Boys
McLeod placed first in the middle school boys’ race, Queen City was third and Atlanta fourth.
The top three for McLeod were: Carson Burden (second overall), Nos Gryder (third overall) and Austin Gilmore (fourth overall).
The top three for QC were: Kyle Campbell (eighth overall), Remington Gardner (11th overall) and Joel Upchurch (20th overall).
The top three for Atlanta were: Francisco Sanchez (12th overall), Daniel Hernandez (14th overall) and Noah Dowda (24th).

MS Girls
McLeod finished first in the middle school girls’ race as well followed by Atlanta in fourth, L-K sixth, QC seventh and Bloomburg 10th.
The top three for McLeod were: Alyssa Hall (first overall), Jillian Parker (seventh overall) and Cary May (ninth overall).
The top three for Atlanta were: Jairy Medina (eighth overall), Ella Lambeth (13th overall) and Da’Myja Ortiz (24th overall).
The top three for L-K were: Kailon Carnley (second overall), Cambree Kerr (23rd overall) and Kendall Wells (24th overall).
The top three for QC were: Chloe Philippi (fourth overall), Annika Philippi (16th overall) and Maddy Parker (48th overall).
The top three for Bloomburg were: Gracie Douglas (44th overall), Julia Simms (45th overall) and Haylee Breedlove (50th overall).
