Local bands continue to shine at contests

Atlanta’s Big Bad Band from Rabbitland and Queen City’s Band of Champions continue to shine and represent Cass County well.
A couple of weekends back at the Four States Marching Contest both bands sizzled with their performances.
The Band of Champions ended up with straight ones, Best Overall Guard and Best Overall Band of the entire competition.
The Big Bad Band from Rabbitland recorded all ones and took home Overall Percussion Section.
On Oct. 8, the bands attended the Northeast Texas Marching Contest in Mt. Pleasant where they once again dazzled the crowd and judges.
Atlanta’s show Mad World netted them a Top 5 finish, all ones, Most Outstanding Percussion and Outstanding 4A Band.
Queen City’s show Kaleidoscope netted them a Top 5 finish, all ones and Most Outstanding 3A Band.
Atlanta will return to Mt. Pleasant on Oct. 18, for a regional contest and Queen City will travel to Princeton for another competition on Oct. 15.
