From Staff Reports
LINDEN-- The Cass County Clerk’s Office is gearing up for the November general election.
“Voter turnout is expected to be higher in Cass County in the Nov. 8 general election with this being a Presidential election and with the amount of local races at hand to be voted on,” said County Clerk, Jamie O’Rand.
“In addition to the Presidential race, we also have numerous city races, school bonds and proposals that will be included on the ballot to be voted on. It is very important for everyone to come out and cast their vote,” she added.
The last day to register to vote is Oct. 11. Residents can register to vote online at VoteTexas.gov or go in person or submit the registration form to the Cass County Tax Assessor-Collector, who is the local registrar.
“For those that aren’t sure if they are registered, you can now go online at www.teamrv-mvp.sos.texas.gov to get the status of your voter registration. You may also register to vote at this website,” stated O’Rand.

Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
Texas license to carry a handgun issued by DPS

“Sample ballots will be placed on the Cass County website at www.casscountytx.us and social media for voter’s review and consideration before election day,” said O’Rand.
“I’m excited to announce that Early Voting will be held at two separate locations,” exclaimed O’Rand. Early voting begins Oct. 24, and ends Nov. 4.
Early voting will be held at the Atlanta ISD Administrative Offices, 106 W. Main Street, Atlanta, and at the Cass County Voting Building, 227 E. Rush Street, Linden, Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. “All registered voters are encouraged to vote during these two weeks of early voting in order to avoid long lines during the main election day. For voter convenience, voters may chose which early voting polling location to cast their vote,” said O’Rand.
