Bloomburg
The junior high Lady Wildcats’ softball team swept a doubleheader from Detroit on recently, winning the first game 12-0 and taking the second 14-4.  
Corrine Ray pitched a perfect game with 12 strikeouts in the first game. Ray, Haylee Breedlove and Erica Lavoie all went 5-for-5 at the plate with five runs scored each. 
Braylee Harrist, Emalee Blizzard, and Jacey Cauthorn also had big days with the bat. 
 
QC JV/M.U.M.S.
Queen City’s junior varsity football team lost a close contest to Hooks by a score of 27-22 last Thursday.
Dylan Scott rushed for a touchdown and threw a touchdown pass to Kemya Hicks, and Hicks also rushed for a touchdown and scored two 2-point conversions.
The middle school  Bulldogs hosted Hooks last Thursday. The seventh grade won 20-6, with multiple Bulldogs scoring. Austin Terry, Elijah Webster and Arlander White each put the ball in the end zone.
The eighth grade team won 36-6, with also multiple Bulldogs putting the ball in the end zone. Terunte Neal, Caleb Hamilton, Vonte Frank, Logan Shelton and Morgan Sykes each scored for the Bulldogs. 
Both teams are 3-0 on the season and will be OPEN next week as we will prepare for New Diana on Oct. 6.
 
Varsity Volleyball
Queen City visited Daingerfield last Friday and left with a three set sweep by scores of, 25-15, 25-9 and 25-11. Jessica Jones had 10 kills; Maci Stringer added 26 assists and Jayley Stringer posted nine digs.
