AMS teams battle New Boston

The Atlanta Rabbits seventh grade A team rolled over the New Boston Lions, 40-0, last Thursday.
Atlanta’s Daniel Hernandez returned the opening kickoff against the Lions for a 60-yard touchdown run. Cooper McClure added the two point conversion to give the Rabbs a quick 8-0 lead.  After a big defensive stop, the Rabbs scored again on a 15-yard run from Keith Kinney. 
McClure added the two point conversion. On the following drive, after a good punt return from Kale Carpenter, McClure scored from five yards out to make it 24-0. 
The Rabbs added another score in the second quarter when McClure connected with Hernandez for a 50-yard TD pass. Dekorian Parker added the two-point conversion. In the second half the Rabbs defense stood tall once again and the Rabbs added another score on Aundra Haskins’ 35-yard run. Kinney added the two point run. 
Defensive standouts included Clay Fant, Ty Blizzard, Brennan Gaston, Jaden Wells, Antonio Jackson, Alex Boston, Chris Humphrey and Jaymarian Stiger. 
The Rabbs eighth grade A team lost a hard-fought game to New Boston, 16-12. Tyler Fedrick scored on a big run of 50 yards, breaking multiple tackles to make it 6-0 at the half. 
Alijuah Drayton added a 30-yard touchdown for the Rabbs in the fourth quarter to make it 16-12. Kentrell Andrews was an offensive standout for the Rabbits. Conner Alexander had an interception for Atlanta and other standouts included Tyrell King, Noah Harris and Trey Adams. 
The junior high Rabbs take on Tatum at Rabbit Stadium this Thursday. B-team games will start around 4:30 p.m.
