Moonlight Madness!

Labor Day weekend may be the unofficial end of summer for some people, but in downtown Atlanta, it is an official weekend of good old-fashioned family fun and local shopping.
The Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce is again sponsoring Moonlight Madness on Sunday from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. This annual tradition brings together people of all ages. For the parents, there will be a stamp card, sponsored by KPYN, that can be stamped when visiting one of the participating local businesses; and once the card is complete, the card can be turned in for a chance to win tickets to a Texas Rangers game.
The participating local businesses include:  Cass County Junktion, Terri’s Treasures, Cobblestone, Atlanta Athletics, Russell Cellular, Farmhouse Flowers, The Rabbit Hole, Flint Furniture and The Rabbit Patch.
While the parents are busy shopping at local businesses, the younger crowd can open their Pokemon Go apps and catch plenty of Pokemon, thanks to the Chamber dropping lures at local Pokestops every hour.
Once all the shops have been visited and people have had their fill of Pokemon, locals can listen to various local artists and cheer on the Atlanta Middle School Color Guard as they perform their routines.
Moonlight Madness has become a staple of the Atlanta area through its ability to connect people with their community in a fun way, and this year looks to be as exciting as ever.
