'Shock' to speak at Fairview Reunion Corp. Scholarship Banquet

L-K High Alum Rashodrick “Shock” Linwood will be this year’s keynote speaker at the Fairview Reunion Corporation annual scholarship banquet.
The banquet will be held at the Fairview Community Center (606 CR 1625) on July 16 at 6 p.m.
Adult tickets are $15 each. Tables of six are available for $100.
A limited number of tickets for middle school and high school students are also available.
Mathus Northcut, with the Fairview Reunion Corporation, said that this banquet serves not only as fundraiser for scholarships but also is a time when scholarship recipients are recognized. The local chapter, as well as Houston and Dallas chapters have awarded Linden-Kildare students scholarships for more than 10 years. The group is also active with the L-K Elementary School.
An All-State running back in high school, Linwood went on to play college ball at Baylor University. The Baylor Bear is a two-time All Big 12 selectee. He currently is second in total rushing yards and second in rushing touchdowns at the university.
