Declaration of Independence to be read at courthouse July 1

CASS COUNTY-- The community is invited to a special reading of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. The reading will be held July 1 at 10 a.m. at the Historic Cass County Courthouse in downtown Linden.
Since 2010, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association has sponsored readings of the historic document in some Texas counties. This is the first year that all 254 Texas counties will participate.
Members of the Cass County criminal defense bar will be among those in attendance.
