Queen City softball players earn All-District honors

Queen City’s softball team finished the year close to the top which is its usual place.
The Lady Bulldogs had 10 players littered all over the 16-3A All-District list which was released recently.
Senior swatter Alyssa Wiley finished the year with 10 homeruns which is one reason she was named Co-Offensive MVP.
Junior Kenadi Meador was named Co-Catcher of the Year after turning in a solid performance from behind the dish throughout the season.
Junior Brooklyn Sykes was named a First Team Infielder; junior Maci Stringer was named a First Team Outfielder; freshman Marlee Durmon took home Second Team Pitcher honors; sophomore Jacie Lance earned Second Team Infield honors and junior Cori Lang was chosen as a Second Team Utility player.
Emily Maxwell, Chey Hill and Tiera Johnson were named to the Honorable Mention list and notching spots on the Academic All-District list were, Sykes, Wiley, Maxwell and Stringer.
