Rowe ready for 2nd term as County Sheriff

Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe was unopposed in his re-election bid, which ended with the Primary Election March 1.
Rowe looks forward to serving his second term as sheriff, which will officially begin in January, when he is once again sworn into office.
This go around, Sheriff Rowe says he plans to get more proactive, specifically in working to slow down burglaries and drug transactions in the county and will continue to do a professional job for the people of Cass County.
Rowe has 36 years as a certified Peace Officer. He served as deputy sheriff for four years and Texas State Game Warden for 29 years, 8 months.
He is currently serving in his fourth year as Cass County Sheriff.
The sheriff says that, as for his first term as sheriff, he is most proud of how his employees in patrol, CID, in the office and jail staff have done the best job for him and the citizens of Cass County with what they have to work with.
“Our employees are very dedicated to the office and Cass County,” he said.
His department will, no doubt, face many challenges in the next four years.
“I plan to continue to save the tax payers money by working diligently to keep our county inmate expenses as low as possible,” Rowe said, “and to keep our county residents and their property as safe as we can by continuing to patrol our county roads 24 hours per day.”
