QC powerlifting programs place first at Detroit

Queen City’s powerlifting teams traveled to Detroit on Jan. 30, and left town with first place plaques.
Celeste Fortune placed first in her respective weight class with a total lift of 975 pounds, KyLee Fincher placed first in her weight class with a total lift of 515 pounds, Jacey Griggs placed second with a total lift of 400 pounds, Maggie Clark placed first with a total lift of 605 pounds and Alyssa Clements placed first with a total lift of 575 pounds.
Both Celeste and Alyssa earned the Outstanding Lifter Award for their great performances.
Bradley Norton placed first in his weight division for the guys with a total of 750 pounds, Ryan Fincher placed first with a total lift of 875 pounds, Curtis Griggs placed first with a total lift of 1,225 pounds and Tracy Craig placed first with a total lift of 1,000 pounds.
Trystann Burt placed second in his weight class with a total lift of 1,005 pounds, David Price placed fourth with a total lift of 745 pounds, Dalton Howell placed fourth with a total lift of 910 pounds, Colton Clayton placed fifth with a total lift of 575 pounds, Cody Nichols placed fifth with a total of 860 pounds and Dylan Savage placed fifth with a total lift of 1,070 pounds.
The lifters will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 11, as they take part in the Redwater Invitational.
