Music City Texas Theater put on another electric, entertaining, and packed show this past weekend, January 23, 2016 featuring Red Dirt sensation, Stoney LaRue. After the Judson Cole Band opened and got the crowd stirred up, Stoney LaRue and his band mates rocked the house playing several fan favorite songs, including “Oklahoma Breakdown” and “Velvet,” and many more that had the crowd singing along.
LaRue, a Texas native who now resides in Oklahoma, has been involved in the music industry for several years now and has built up a strong fan base. LaRue, an independently charged artist, has sold more than 300,000 records over the course of his career and plays at least 200 shows per year. Many of his songs have seen the top of the charts, with the most recent chart topper being his hit “Golden Shackles” from his eOne Music debut, Aviator, in 2014.
Since May of 2003, Music City Texas Theater has been bringing in crowds from all over to be entertained by an assortment of artists, ranging from nationally known artists to local entertainers of all music genres. Patrons who attended the show on Saturday enthusiastic about the performers said, “The Judson Cole Band and Stoney LaRue put on a great show. Music City Texas Theater is such an intimate and perfect. The bands performed wonderfully, I had so much fun and I can’t wait to see who they have perform next.”
While Stoney LaRue is continuing his tour on January 30, 2016 at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas, the next performers coming to Music City Texas Theater will be Charlie Robinson on February 12 and Hickory Hill will headline on February 20. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the theater directly at (903) 756-9934 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
