James Ira Allen, Jr, 65, of Atlanta, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Linden Health Care.

He was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Nacogdoches, to Dr. James Allen Sr. and wife Patricia. He was in trailer sales. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James Allen, Sr.; brother, Pat Allen; and sister, Mary Angel.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Allen of Atlanta; his mother, Patricia Allen of Nacogdoches; two sons, James Ira Allen III and wife Sancy of Anna and Jeffery Tate Allen and future wife Lauren Caraway of Atlanta; a sister, Ann Harris and husband Robert of Lufkin; two grandchildren, Rylan and Haylee; and a number of other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, 7240 Chase Oaks Blvd., Plano, Texas  75025.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

JAMES OSCAR CORBETT HATCHER

James Oscar Corbett Hatcher, 73, of the Shiloh Community, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015. 

He was born Aug. 21, 1942, to Samuel Lawrence Hatcher and Mildred Alice Hatcher. 

He was preceeded in death by his parents; and two brothers, who passed away in infancy.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Melva Ann Hatcher; his daughter, Georgianna D. Newburg; son, Samuel J. Hatcher; sisters, Glenda Leon and Violet Capps; and grandson, Gabriel D. Newburg; and numerous relatives in East Texas.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Shiloh Methodist Church with Bro. Taylor Duncan officiating.  Interment followed at the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Reeder– Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

JOHN WESLEY JONES

July 23, 1947 - Nov. 13, 2015

John Wesley Jones, 68, of Linden, passed away Nov. 13, 2015.  He was born July 23, 1947, in Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Jones and Morean C. Walker Jones; and two brothers, Eugene Jones and Ben Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Cheri Jones of Linden; daughters, Kimberly Peterson and Ronne Hines; son, Douglas Lippitt; seven grandchildren, Shelby Peterson, Ashley Peterson, Domineik Peterk, Emma Hines, J. W. Hines, Reagan Lippitt, Ellie Lippitt and one sister, Nita Jones, and countless extended family touched by his generosity and love of life. 

Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.  Given John’s love of the beautiful lakes of East Texas, the family requests that donations be made to the Texas Parks and Wildlife, in lieu of flowers:  Texas Parks and Wildlife, 4200 Smith School Rd., Austin, Texas 78744.

Dr. Raynal Bell Barber, 80, of Dallas, died Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the Pilgrim Chapel on the campus of Dallas Baptist University.  A private family burial will be at Barber Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs.
