CCAD board OKs balanced budget

Cass County Appraisal District board approved a $630,577 balanced budget on Sept. 9 for 2015. This is a 2.4 percent increase from last year’s $615,980 budget approved in 2013. It includes, a reserve for performance and merit raises.
Cass County Appraiser LeAnn Lee said the majority of the increase is due to the higher contracts for Eagle Appraisal & Consulting and Capitol Appraisal. These companies handle the districts commercial, business, manufacturing and industrial properties.
