Fitts is Region 8 executive director

Dr. David Wayne Fitts has been named Region 8 Education Service Center Executive Director. Dr. Fitts was approved as the executive director by the Region 8 ESC Board of Directors with approval from Commissioner of Education Michael Williams, at a special meeting on July 14. The Region 8 ESC encompasses 47 school districts and 11 counties. Dr. Fitts was the superintendent of Lake Worth Independent School District.
