Local fire fighter returns home after being injured in the line of duty

A local fire fighter injured in the line of duty has returned home to his family, still recovering but thankful to be home safe. Dakota Huddleston arrived Wednesday to many loved ones friends and fire fighting brothers.

The Bloomburg Volunteer Fire Chief is the subject of a major fundraising event scheduled this weekend.. The Hero Run 5k and Pumper Race sponsered by Richardson "No Bull" Insurance, will begin in Queen City, Texas at the the First Baptist Church parking lot. The 5k will begin Saturday, May 31 at 8 a.m. and the Pumper Race will begin at 10 a.m. 

The bloodmobile will also be at the event Saturday. LifeShare Blood Centers has a special account set up for Huddleston as well.
