One-Act play cast members win awards

Linden-Kildare High School participated in the UIL one-act play competition in March. Four out of the five cast members received awards at the March 17 competition.
D’Shawn Higgs and Surtraylon Grant received all star cast, Kiana Peters and Lexi Loizeaux received all star cast honorable mention, Kayla Mitchell received the techie award.
Other cast and crew members for the production were Averie Daniel, Haley Richardson, Alyssa Cargile, Jasmine Durham, Shanequia Higgs and Megan Kirkland.
The group performed The Eden Echo, a comedy in which man has been destroyed and all that is left on Earth are females.
Two females, Theodosia and Lavinia, reminisce about the days of having males on the Earth and wish the return of man. It is only when the young Airabella returns from the forest looking for a ground hog that the women’s wishes come true.
Airabella captures a man. But they must be sure and keep the find a secret from the grandmother Gwendolyn or she will turn him in for liquidation. In the end, though, the world is set back to its normal state and love prevails.
