Atlanta Animal League held an adoption day Saturday at Tractor Supply. Organizers said 10 dogs were adopted and found new homes.
Heather Roach, vice president said 80 percent of their animals are adopted through their facebook page. Volunteers were excited to have so many pets find new homes. Since the league was formed in September 2013 they have successfully adopted out more than 100 dogs and growing from the local community.
There are approximately 60 pets seeking adoption that are currently living with foster families. The league provides everything the foster family needs while in their foster homes including food, vet care, crates if necessary, etc.
All pets that are adopted are vaccinated and spayed or neutered if of age.
Citizens can donate to the Atlanta Animal League in several different ways. They have a paypal link on their facebook page, mail a donation to PO Box 451, Atlanta, TX 75551 or stop by The Ark or Cass County Vet Clinic and pay directly on their vet bills.
Contact the league via their facebook page, website, atlantaanimalleague.com or by calling 903-824-2122.
