Washington, Best set April 12 wedding date

Amy and Curtis Whatley, of Linden, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelsey Lauren Washington, to John Hamilton Best, son of Sue and John Best of Jefferson.
The future bride is the daughter of the late Andy Washington. She is also the granddaughter of Alice Wilson of Atlanta and the late John Wilson, Stella and Milton Washington of Linden and Jerry Don and Nelva Whatley of Atlanta.
She is employed with the White-Shaver Law Firm in Tyler.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Hammie and Louise Best and the late Jack and Evelyn Powell.
He received a degree in kinesiology from University of Texas at Tyler and is employed with Arctic Slope Regional Corporation in Kuparuk, Alaska.
The wedding is set for Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at Tankersley Gardens in Mt. Pleasant. All friends and family are invited to attend.
After the nuptials and a honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Tyler.
