Lent is a good time to examine temptation

Well we have entered another special season of the Christian year. We Methodist celebrate lent which is the 40 days before Easter. In the early church, it was during this time that new believers learned about the faith and considered whether they wanted to make the commitment to be a Christian, a follower of Christ.
It was just not an emotional decision but one that required serious consideration. As the church grew there came a point in which everyone in the Roman Empire was a Christian so Lent became a time of renewal and refocusing one’s life to Christ.
