Texana Bank grows strong as it marks its 100th anniversary

Last week marked the 100th anniversary since Texana Bank opened for business in 1914 as First National Bank of Linden.
Texana Bank, N.A. was organized in Linden, Texas on Nov. 23, 1913 and opened for business on Jan. 20, 1914. The original building was located at 104 S. Main St. where the Linden City Hall is currently located.
The bank moved to its current location at 124 E. Rush St. in 1971. The drive thru was located on the west side of the building. Renovations were later made to the building, and the drive thru was moved to the rear of the building.
