Girl Scouts assist local food pantries

Local Girl Scouts sponsored a ‘pack the pantry’ food drive to assist local food pantries in restocking their shelves after the holidays.
Service Unit Tree-o and Girl Scout Troops 2249, 20072 and 2402 hosted a repack the pantry food drive on Nov. 30. Scouts set up in front of Cash Savers in Queen City and on the corner across from Wells Fargo collecting monetary donations and food for the local food pantries.
