Nolen, Tyson in Thanksgiving parade

Students from the Tammie Duncan School of Dance in Atlanta, who were invited to participate in the 87th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, are Ashley Nolen and Ashley Tyson.
The students joined with dancers from all over America for a week of rehearsals with Spirit of America choreographers in New York prior to the parade. On parade morning, the students walked the nearly three-mile parade route and performed for television cameras in Herald Square in front of the famed Macy’s Department Store.
The young women have danced together since kindergarten under the tutelage of “Miss Tammie” Duncan.
Ashley Nolen is the daughter of Mitchell and Shannon Nolen. Ashley Tyson is the daughter of Mary Ann and Doug Jordan and the late Greg Tyson.
