Carlton shares his inspiration for books with students

By Angela Guillory
Author and veterinarian David Carlton, D.V.M. entertained students as he shared some of his real-life humorous experiences with students.
Both junior high and high school agricultural students attended his performance on Oct. 28. Dr. Carlton shares a unique blend of down-home flavored real-life experiences in veterinary medicine to promote public awareness, animal health-care and agricultural business.
Students were laughing as he told some of his many daily life stories. As an author he has written four books. This is a continuation of the visiting author program Superintendent Dr. James Cowley started last year.
Carlton holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. He has owned and operated veterinary hospitals for both large and small animals since 1976 and currently practices in Dallas at Bent Trail Animal Clinic.
