Literature comes to life at Frog Jumping Contest

The 6th Annual Frog Jumping Contest, inspired by Mark Twain’s “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County”, was held at the junior high on Sept. 27. Eighth grade students in Ms. Paula Fitts’ reading classes spent time learning about Mark Twain and his literary escapades. They also researched the history of storytelling and the values that the art of storytelling plays in our culture.
