Nora Lee Owens, 75, of Linden, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at a nursing center in Linden. She was born June 11, 1938, in Atlanta to James and Eunice Wilcox.
She was retired from the Cass County District Clerk’s office and Cass County Health Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Owens and a stepson, Jerry Owens.
Survivors include two sons, Kerry Gholson and James Gholson; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy and Wayne Glover and Mona Anzualda; a stepson John Owens and wife Chelsea; two stepdaughters and their spouses, Ann and Larry Ferrell and Judy and Loy Dale Grubbs; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Wilcox and James Wilcox; three sisters, Dorothy Armstreet, Eunice Perry and Inez Hillman; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved her.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 16, Monday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Linden United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryan Peck officiating. Interment will follow at Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
