Awards banquet slated for Sept. 21

The annual Linden Area Chamber of Commerce Civic Awards Banquet is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Mary Daughety Senior Citizen Center. This year’s theme is “Gone Fishin’.”
The catered dinner will feature “all you can eat” fried catfish with all the trimmings plus banana pudding or peach cobbler for dessert. Donations will be accepted at the door.
“Please join the Chamber board, Chamber members, and community organizations as we celebrate and honor dedicated volunteers who strive steadfastly to make Linden a good place to live and work,” said Rebecca Narramore, vice president.
